Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships are now open to international students. The Government of Scotland funds these scholarships in cooperation with the Scottish universities and colleges.
Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships help students become influential leaders and have the opportunities to widen their career, personal and academic experience in Scotland.
The Saltire Scholarships are in the form of fee waivers with 50 seats worth £8000 each. Eligible students from Canada, China, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the United States of America can apply for Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships to start their postgraduate master’s degrees in full-time courses. Beyond their study, students have the chance to communicate with academic and business communities in the host country.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants who are interested in applying for Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships:
Should have an unconditional offer from a Scottish university in online, on-campus, or blended study.
Be a citizen of Pakistan, India, Canada, Japan, USA, and China (including Hong Kong)
Must be able to pay the remaining fee amount and living expenses in Scotland
Should not have studied in Scotland previously
Should meet all course requirements, including language criteria
Should complete the Saltire Scholarships application form and submit it on the due date of expiry
Should apply for a full-time master’s degree for courses mentioned above.
Should show interest in studying in Scotland and Scottish universities
Need to show aspiration to work as influential leaders in their careers in the global context
More requirements that Saltire Scholarship Program sets:
Scholars should follow the university standards of conduct and rules.
Should participate actively in extra-curricular activities and events
It is better to support Scotland and Scottish higher education communications based on their experience through social media posts, interviews, agreeing to use their photos, quotes, blogs, etc.
Benefits
The Saltire Scholarships help students with their fees with a total value of £8000 per year. The remaining fees and living costs are payable by scholars while studying in Scotland.
Termination of Saltire Scholarships
The Scottish Government and Saltire Scholarships Team can terminate the scholarship if a scholar:
Does not follow the Scholarships’ principles and rules
Causes damage to Scotland’s reputation
Causes embarrassment to Scotland’s reputation
